Inspire Me Monday #1

A good book
is hard to put
down.

I read a book today, the whole thing. I read
it in one sitting because it inspired me and
today is my first "Inspire Me Monday" day.
The book is Catching the Big Fish, by David
Lynch. Every creative soul should read this
book.

"Ideas are like fish. If you want to catch
little fish, you can stay in the shallow water.
But if you want to catch the big fish, you've got
to go deeper. Down deep, the fish are more
powerful and more pure. They're huge and
abstract. And they're beautiful. Everything,
anything that is a thing comes up from the
deepest level—The Unified Field. The more
your consciousness—your awareness—is
expended, the deeper you go toward this
Source, and the bigger the fish you can catch.
Stay true to yourself."—David Lynch

  1. Jeanne,
I could not be more thrilled you are joining me for IMM! I just finished my post and lo and behold, your book inspiration is just what I need right now. Thank you!!

2 books of great inspiration for me have been: A Return To Love by Marianne Williamson and 3 Cups Of Tea by Greg Mortenson.

  2. I do fund-raising for women's education. We're looking into having Greg Mortenson speak at our next "event." He charges $10,000 per engagement, but all the money goes to build schools for women. I need to read that book! I love Marianne Williamson and I've not read her book. Thanks for the recommendation.

  5. Ideas are more powerful if you give them deep thought - staying true to oneself is the most important thing we can do for ourselves. Love the photo by the way - where do you find these unusual shots - you must live in a fascinating place.
