From CNN headlines,
Reality TV,
Local news,
Bejeweled Blitz;
Everything man
Invented.
My recent dreams
Come from my past;
Time spent on the
Pacific Ocean,
A time when life was wild.
Winds blew.
Wildfires wreaked havoc.
Earthquakes threatened.
But it was never personal
Because it was the way of
Nature, not man.
I need the peace of knowing
Life is not in our hands.
What a beautiful part of the world. I know what you mean about needing a break from the headlines - I try not to watch the news - it is just so depressing. We had bad bush fires in Australia last summer - they did wreak havoc and many died - it is nice to see the rain now. Life is the way it is meant to be - bush fires destroy so much - but then a little bit of grass starts to grow again - death and new beginnings - its all part of life :)
