Inspire Me Monday #5 Shapes

I've received several emails about my last post, Stone Rabbit. It is a natural shape. I'm posting a photo from another perspective so all can see it. This shape inspired me to post other interesting shapes from my photo library. Wind and rain are natural carvers. What shapes do you find inspiring?

Stone Rabbit

I follow Ordinary Enchantment's blog and have been captivated
recently by Miss Zoe. In her honor, I'm postinga photo of my
other favorite rabbit cast in sandstone by Nature's hand.

A Much Needed Break

I need a break today
From CNN headlines,
Reality TV,
Local news,
Bejeweled Blitz;
Everything man
Invented.

My recent dreams
Come from my past;
Time spent on the
Pacific Ocean,
A time when life was wild.

Winds blew.
Wildfires wreaked havoc.
Earthquakes threatened.

But it was never personal
Because it was the way of
Nature, not man.

I need the peace of knowing
Life is not in our hands.

Inspire Me Mondays #4 (continued) Nature Laughs

Just as I
accepted
Gray Days,
Nature laughed
and delivered
SUN!

Inspire Me monday #4 Gray Days

Not a day of sun since May 8, 2009:

Ask not:
Where are the shadows of Summer? I say, where?

Think not of them now, but love instead
mist hanging heavy on buttercups
fish leaping in the pond
ducks waddling across the grass.

See how the Day Lillies brightly shine
against the canvas so grey
while bees work in the mist?
Smell the fragrance of sweet grass
growing between the oak trees with
boughs so heavy they weep soft tears
when the wind caresses them
oh
so
gently.

The shadows will return
when Sun again lights the sky.
But for now
stop moaning and be joyful!

Father's Day

Miss you!

Love.

Welcome to the 21st Century

Q.:
Guess what I've
spent the last
36 hours doing?
A.:
Trying to figure out
how to use my new
iphone3Gs.
It's Apple, so is
"easy," but I'm
old, so...

Blinded by the Light

Who's that
lurking in
my woods?

Inspire Me Monday #3

The Lilly Pad pond opened at Longwood Gardens in
Kennett Square, PA. I love the peace that surrounds
the beauty of what often seems "unnatural" as flowers
grow through the water. It reminds me not to get stuck
in my own mindset. There's so much I don't know and
unless I remain open to the unexpected I will never
experience the miracle knocking on the door of my heart.

Perfect Couple

I love watching this pair.
He stands guard
while she eats.
She stands guard
while he eats.
They've got it
all
worked
out.

Inspire Me Monday #2

I'm posting my Inspire
Me Monday on Tuesday.
I returned from a road
trip with best friends late
Sunday and spent all day
Monday doing what this
little guy is doing.
Whew! I hope he doesn't
fall off the branch...

Road Trip

Tomorrow I am taking
a road trip with two
beautiful women.
This evening, I retired
to my place of Serenity
to ask God's blessings
on our trip. I'll see you
all on Monday!

Inspire Me Monday #1

A good book
is hard to put
down.

I read a book today, the whole thing. I read
it in one sitting because it inspired me and
today is my first "Inspire Me Monday" day.
The book is Catching the Big Fish, by David
Lynch. Every creative soul should read this
book.

"Ideas are like fish. If you want to catch
little fish, you can stay in the shallow water.
But if you want to catch the big fish, you've got
to go deeper. Down deep, the fish are more
powerful and more pure. They're huge and
abstract. And they're beautiful. Everything,
anything that is a thing comes up from the
deepest level—The Unified Field. The more
your consciousness—your awareness—is
expended, the deeper you go toward this
Source, and the bigger the fish you can catch.
Stay true to yourself."—David Lynch
