Angel Descending

Ever felt an angel's breath in the gentle breeze?
A teardrop in the falling rain?
Hear a whisper amongst the rustle of leaves?
Or been kissed by a lone snowflake?
Nature is an angel's favorite hiding place.

Last Christmas...

Last Christmas Blaze, the dog, found a delicious bone in his stocking.

We had to hang the stockings higher this year because Blaze kept trying to get into his. Poor thing. How do you explain to a dog that all good things come to those who wait?

A good friend started a new blog. Pam is a writer who delights in Christmas trees and has 38! On December 1 she started posting photos of one tree a day. You'll love these beauties! Visit Pam at http://pamstebbins.blogspot.com/

So he does.

Witches on Broomsticks

When witches go riding,
and black cats are seen,
the moon laughs and whispers,
'tis near Halloween.

Inspire Me Mondays—Owlfan, The Drum

Do any of you birth drums? This is Owlfan, a drum I birthed last year, a drum with a vibrant, bass voice. When I took him from his cover this morning, I discovered a piece of twisted rawhide had separated from the Elk skin. It has been several weeks since I've played Owlfan. The care and feeding of drums is important. Once we birth them, it's our responsibility to nurture them so they, in turn, can do their job. Owlfan is a healing drum, a drum used in prayer. I don't know if I can repair him. Do any of you know? I can always birth another drum, but Owlfan was my first...(sigh). Despite his inability to speak today, he's a gentle reminder that we're each here for a purpose and if we aren't allowed to fulfill this purpose, we lose our power. Attend to your purpose and have a beautiful day.

Inspire Me Monday—Hidden Message in Water

Walking through Chester County Bookstore
today, I saw a calendar with photos by Masaru
Emoto, who claims ice crystals in water change
form when beautiful words are spoken to the water,
words such as "love" and "gratitude." When negative
thoughts or words are sent to water, it forms
disassembled crystals, or none at all. When I got home,
I decided to try a little experiment. I filled a glass with
water and took it outside to "commune" with the water
in my pond. After a while, I brought the glass of water
indoors. As I was passing through the kitchen, my husband
looked at the glass and said, "That's the most beautiful water
I've ever seen." I reminded him the glass was from our cabinet.
We use it all the time. He said (and I kid you not),
I'm not talking about the glass. It's the water. Something's
different about it. It's beautiful."

I'm inspired today to speak softly and gently to my
water because, as Dr. Emoto reminds us, most of the
human body is made up of water. Grab a glass,
speak beautiful words to your water and drink up—
then let me know what happens!

Inspire Me Monday #11—My Stone

Today is my birthday :)) and I'm celebrating with this special
guy I found on November 15, 1989 in Santa Fe, NM.
I didn't get to participate in Rock Week but I didn't
want this special stone ignored. Isn't he gorgeous?

Inspire Me Monday #11—Just Be You

"Learn to recognize
the counterfeit coins
that may buy you
just a moment of
pleasure
But then drag you
for days like a
broken man
behind a
farting
camel."
—Hafiz

These photos were taken through a window screen so are not
clear, but I decided to post them anyway. This little guy
doesn't look like the other deer in our area, yet he goes about
his business, just being himself.
