when sap dries up yet
if you pause to
simply look...
the tree responds.

  1. Oh my goodness - where do you find these old trees? The trunks are fascinating - a bit like rock that has been beaten by waves for hundreds of years - it tells a story.

  3. This tree trunk is in Santa Fe, MN. I've been passing it for years without really stopping to look. I didn't have my camera with me, just my iphone. I hope to get back to it with my camera.

  7. So many images to be found in this tree. Whne I first read your title before seeing the pics I was thinking of a trunk like a storage trunk. Nice surprise!
