  5. Yes, Susan...it is a rattlesnake. It has been hanging around the past few days; makes me a little nervous.

  6. And you were near that snake???? I am such a panic-stricken person with even garter snakes, even though spending years in rattlesnake territory. I'd have had to be a mile away to take a photo.

  10. Oh my, this is quite the duo...I can't stand the idea of a rattlesnake right outside your door...an image comes to mind of that snake with a bird lump down his throat...or maybe rattlesnakes don't eat birds?

    So, did the fluffy fledgling get away? What a scary thing to photograph.
