Lust For Life

A long time in the salty sea
the sea anemone
attached to coral and stone
waits
until a passing fish
triggers
venom-filled
tentacles.
Anemone fires
a harpoon filament,
injects the fish with toxin
and gently, ever so gently,
the tentacles guide the prey
into anemone's mouth.

  1. Seems you're having fun taking the pictures in your last tree post. Love them. Great work.

  2. i love watching anemones dance in the sea while the little fish play hide and seek in the frond of the anemone.

  3. Anemones are so graceful - I can imagine them swaying with your music - it is a great shot :)
